The first ones appear at the beginning of the letter are the date and the address. In this part, we can get the information about the date when the letter was written, which is important to know, and it also can be used as the documentation data. Dear Akmal,
It’s been a year since we started writing letters to each other. And it’s also been a great and enjoyable time for me. It started just as a random thing to do for me, I mean.. I just wanted to have a friend from abroad whom I can write letter to, practice English with, share my experiences, and so on. But after a while, I found a fun doing it and then started to feel happy about it onward.
So, I want to tell you about my week here… As I told you, I had to prepare for my college entrance examination. Fortunately, the cram school has already finished this week and I finally get my holiday! Fyuuh, it was tiring and exhausting yet challenging in its own way. Now I feel confident to face my exam at the end of this month.
Then my holiday begins…
And so I was thinking that I have to go on vacation to release the tension and relax for a while before the exam. Then, I was thinking to visit your country, INDONESIA! I’ve never been there, but I’ve read and heard from my pals that it is such a beautiful country with its vast culture; the views, the mountains, the beaches, aaah..I really want to visit there!
I have made my mind about it, and I’ve already prepared everything. But of course, I want to ask you whether you’d have free time or not so we can arrange a meeting, and if possible, accompanying me to explore some places of your lovely country… 
I am planning to start my vacation next week, and if I’m not mistaken, it will be your country’s independence day by then, right? I hope I won’t miss the celebration since I’m sure it will be delightful, too. I’m really looking forward to hearing from you soon. Let’s start packing!!!
